Children who are comfortable with their dentist become enthusiastic about their oral health throughout their lives. At Oak Park Dental Group we know how important it is to create positive, dental experiences for patients of any age, and we are particularly sensitive to the needs of children.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, about one in five (20%) of kids ages 5-11 have at least one untreated decayed tooth. Fortunately, the state of Illinois now requires dental exams for school kids going into kindergarten, grade 2 and grade 6. This requirement can help in the treatment and prevention of any issues that may develop. We are committed to your kiddos’ dental care!
Some of our patients have a hard time getting their kids to brush and floss regularly. For some tips and tricks, we encourage you to check out our Facebook page, where we occasionally share fun songs and charts to use with your little ones. For example, we recommend choosing tap water and brushing for two minutes, two times a day.
If you are looking for a caring and friendly pediatric dentist in the Oak Park or Elmwood Park area, our dental team provides primary dental treatments for infants, children, adolescents and individuals with special needs. In fact, many of our team members have kids themselves, so they understand the unique concerns associated with pediatric dentistry.

Some parents and kids like to come in at the same time for their dental exams or treatment. We say “the more, the merrier!” We look forward to treating your whole family. Don’t forget to ask about our new patient specials!
