Alyssa Blanchard13 days agoUPDATE🌟: I wanted to update my original review because I believe in being fair when a business makes an effort to correct a situation. During my original cleaning, dental bonding between my front teeth was accidentally dislodged while the hygienist was cleaning that area. My frustration came from the way the situation was initially handled, because I was told I would have to pay to have it repaired even though I came into the office with the bonding intact. After I escalated my concern, the Regional Director contacted me the following morning, apologized for how the situation had been handled, and explained that the office should have simply made a phone call to get authorization to correct it. She scheduled me immediately to have the bonding repaired at no charge. I returned for my appointment, and the experience was completely different. The staff greeted me by name before I even said anything, everyone was polite and professional, and the dentist repaired the bonding in about ten minutes. While I still believe the situation should have been handled differently from the beginning, I truly appreciate that leadership reached out, took responsibility for the customer service issue, and made sure it was resolved appropriately. Businesses are not always going to get everything right the first time, and I think it is equally important to acknowledge when they make an effort to correct something. I am satisfied with the resolution and appreciate the way the matter was ultimately handled. Original Review: I had a very disappointing experience at Oak Park Dental Group during a routine scheduled cleaning. I arrived with dental bonding between my two front teeth completely intact. The bonding had been placed as part of orthodontic/cosmetic work to close a small gap. During my cleaning, while the hygienist was using a scaling instrument around that area, the bonding came out. The hygienist immediately acknowledged that something had come out and asked whether I had a filling/bonding there to close the gap. What bothered me most was not simply that the bonding came out—it was how the situation was handled afterward. A manager- Alex- came in and initially told me that a routine cleaning would not have caused it and that the bonding must have been done improperly. This conclusion was made before the dentist had even examined the area. When I questioned how she could determine that my previous dental work had been performed improperly without examining it or knowing how it had been done, she denied saying it. I explained that I came into the office with the bonding intact and that it came out while their hygienist was actively working on that exact area. I therefore felt it was reasonable for the office to restore it without charging me. Instead, I was told my options were essentially to pay them to repair it or return to my orthodontist. I requested to speak directly with the dentist and waited approximately 15–20 minutes. The dentist was polite and said she understood my position. She explained that small pieces of bonding can sometimes come loose and suggested I return to the orthodontist who placed it. However, she also explained that she could not authorize a complimentary repair because she does not own the practice and that the most she could potentially offer was a friends-and-family discount. I understand that dental bonding can fail. My concern is that I entered the office with it intact, it became dislodged during treatment, and the practice declined to restore it unless I paid. I was a new patient, and the way the situation was handled—particularly the initial attempt to blame previous dental work before the dentist had even examined me—left me very uncomfortable. From start to finish, everyone was friendly, professional, and made me feel completely comfortable and well taken care of. I went in for a cleaning, and Selena did an amazing job! She was gentle, thorough, professional, and took her time to make sure my teeth felt incredibly clean. She made the whole cleaning experience comfortable and easy. Coco took my X-rays and was fantastic as well—friendly, efficient, and made the process quick and seamless. Dr. Bhatt performed my exam and was wonderful! She was warm, knowledgeable, thorough, and took the time to make sure everything looked good and that I felt confident about my dental health. The entire team at Oak Park Dental Group truly made this a five-star experience. It’s refreshing to visit a dental office where you feel genuinely cared for from the moment you walk in until you leave. A huge thank you to Selena, Coco, and Dr. Bhatt for taking such great care of me. I highly recommend Oak Park Dental Group! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Load more
